Advice after massive fire on Gemini Retail Park in Warrington

Fire crews are still at the scene of a massive fire in Warrington which has badly damaged the Boots and Next stores on Gemini Retail Park

Cheshire Police officers continue to assist Cheshire Fire and Rescue at the site of a large fire on the Gemini Business and Retail Park in Warrington adjacent to junction 8 of the M62 this morning Sunday 8th July 2012. The fire is located at the retail premises of Boots and Next.

Cheshire Police are advising staff who will be turning up for work on the Gemini Retail Park that Europa Boulevard is closed from the mini roundabout outside Ikea up to the roundabout at Callands Road and would advise them to limit the number of cars coming on to the site where possible or find alterative car parks.

Cheshire police are advising shoppers who may be thinking of visiting the Gemini Retail park today all the retail premises, with the exception of Boots and Next, will be trading as usual. The two large car parks serving Ikea and Marks and Spencer will be open and accessible from Charon Way and Westbrook Crescent only.

Cheshire Police are asking motorists to be patient, minor delays are expected when entering or leaving the retail park as Cheshire Fire and Rescue continue to deal with incident.
