Tough draw for Centurions
Holders Leigh Centurions will continue their defence of the Northern Rail Cup with a tough trip to Co-operative Championship champions Featherstone Rovers after the two clubs were paired in the semi-final draw.
In the other semi-final, last season’s Co-operative Championship runners-up Sheffield Eagles will host 2011 Northern Rail Cup finalists Halifax.
The games will be played over the weekend of July 7-8 with one game to be broadcast live on Premier Sports on Thursday July 5.
The draw was conducted by Northern Rail Area Director Richard Allen and Al Dickinson, a Keighley Cougars supporter who is walking 127 miles along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal in July to raise funds for Rett Syndrome Research Trust.
