Detectives investigating an unexplained death in St Helens have released a man under investigation.
The 30-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a police station for questioning.
Emergency services were called to a property on Sidney Street at around 6pm on Thursday after reports a man was unresponsive.
38-year-old James Corbett died at the scene.
At this stage, detectives are treating his death as unexplained pending the result of toxicology reports.
