Next try to find work for Warrington staff

100 workers with no store after huge blaze

Next has given us a statement after the weekend's huge fire:

"On Saturday night at approximately 8pm, a fire took place in our store on Gemini Retail Park in Warrington. The fire was believed to have started in neighbouring store Boots and the cause of the fire is still unknown. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

The store will be closed for the immediate future, and in the interim we would ask our customers to use alternative NEXT stores in Warrington Golden Square and Warrington Riverside (which includes Homeware).

We can confirm that Next Gemini Store currently has over 100 permanent members of staff. We are currently working with all permanent staff to source suitable alternative positions until the store re-opens for trade.

Please note that with Next due to go into sale this Saturday, Warrington Gemini will NOT be open for this Sale. We would advise customers to use alternative Next Stores.”
