Olympic torch relay arrives in Wigan today

Lowton is first stop

Thousands will line the streets of Wigan this afternoon - as the Olympic torch relay finally gets to the borough.

It will start at Winwick Lane in Lowton at around 3.20 - will pass through Abram, Wigan town centre, Scholes, Ince, Hindley and Westhoughton.

Kirsty Gallagher will be the celebrity torchbearer. She'll be doing her leg on Wallgate.

The relay will pass through West Lancashire and St Helens tomorrow.
