Walmsley signs three year deal
SAINTS have signed Alex Walmsley from Batley
Bulldogs.
The 21-year-old prop forward has agreed a
three-year contact and will link up with his new club in the close season.
Club Chairman Eamonn McManus said: "Alex is one
of the most promising and exciting prospects in the game and we are delighted
to have secured his services ahead of stiff competition from other clubs.
"He is a powerful forward who we have no doubt
will suit Saints style of play. We look forward to welcoming him into the Club.”
Alex is six foot 5 and played for GB Students and
Dewsbury Celtic before attracting the attention of the Bulldogs.
He recently studied at Leeds Met.
