Actress Jennifer Lawrence has refused to apologise after a video was leaked of her dancing on a strip pole at a club.

The video was published by celebrity website Radar Online, described as a "bombshell exclusive" of "America's sweetheart cutting loose" in a strip club.

It shows the 26-year-old star dancing with a man on a strip pole at a club, then taking her top off and being carried off stage.

"Nobody wants to be reminded that they tried to dance on a stripper pole by the internet," Lawrence wrote on her Facebook page.

"It was one of my best friend's birthdays and I dropped my paranoia guard for one second to have fun.

"I'm not going to apologise, I had a BLAST that night."

Lawrence is reportedly currently in a relationship with Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky, who, according to Radar Online, was not with her at the club.

The website also says the actress is seen dancing in her bra.

Lawrence responded: "That's not a bra it's an Alexander Wang top and I'm not gonna lie, I think my dancing's pretty good. Even with no core strength."

Lawrence was one of the many stars whose private photos were leaked in the "celebgate" scandal.

The man who hacked the online accounts of the Oscar-winning actress and other celebrities was jailed for nine months earlier this year.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Lawrence spoke about the scandal, saying: "I was just so afraid. I didn't know how this would affect my career.

"Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this. It does not mean that it comes with the territory."
