Automation and Local Programming

During weekday daytime Monday to Friday Wish FM is fully live apart from 1 hour of our programming which is automated.

We are locally programmed from 6am till 7pm every weekday. On Saturday from 6am till 6pm and Sunday from 8am till 12 noon.

Charity Support

Wish FM runs a charity fund supporting positive futures for young people in the Wish FM area. We run fundraising activity throughout the year to support individuals and organisations in our area and enhance local life.

News Bulletin Schedule: Local, National and Extended Bulletins

Wish FM news bulletins are broadcast weekdays between the hours of 6am & 6.30pm, in addition to news and sport headlines at 6.30am, 7.30am, 8.30am, 4.30pm, 5.30pm & 6.30pm.

On weekends locally produced news is broadcast on a Saturday between 8am & 1pm and on Sundays between 8am & 12 noon. Sky News Radio is broadcast at other times.

Lauren Moss

Lauren is one of our Broadcast Journalists at Wish. She joined the station in January 2009 after months of freelancing across the north west.

Christina Wallis

Christina's been with Wish FM since the station started and knows Wigan and St Helens better than anyone.

When she's not bringing you the big news at the weekend, Christina can be found at Hilton Park, cheering on her beloved Leigh Centurions.

Kelly O'Donnell

Kelly is the afternoon afternoon Broadcast Journalist on the Wish FM team.

Previously she worked at Central Radio in Preston before making the move to Wigan.

You can hear her on the airwaves on weekday afternoons.
