On 14th and 15th July St Helens goes sporting mad! A festival celebrating of all kinds of sport over 2 days from rugby to rounders will be held at Ruskin Sports Ground. Listen out to Wish FM as we bring you all the latest sporting updates all weekend.
St Helens Sports Festival 2012 in association with Asda Active, getting Britain moving. Supporting community sporting events across the UK. St Helens Council’s Sports Development team and 102.4 Wish FM.
More than 10,000 people are expected to attend the three-day event, which showcases the range of activities available at the Ruskin Drive sports complex.
The festival was established last year as part of the Olympic Legacy programme.
St Helens Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People’s Services, Councillor Alison Bacon said: "This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever and we’re absolutely delighted that Asda is playing a leading role in motivating people of all ages to take part in sport.”
