Dramatic finish sees Latics grab point at Bristol City

Anthony Pilkington with his first goal for Latics

Wigan Athletic picked up another crucial point in their bid to escape relegation thanks to Anthony Pilkington's injury time equaliser.

Having led from 10 minutes before half time thanks to Reece James' stunning 30 yard strike, Wigan looked composed and in control, with the home side offering little threat.

Soon after half time though, Lee Johnson made a triple change and and within the blink of an eye they were 2-1 up. First, Matty Taylor headed home Niclas Eliasson cross, and moments later Kasey Palmer capitalised on a Chey Dunkley slip.

But with Wigan staring down the barrel of another defeat on the road and with seconds ticking away, it was Anthony Pilkington who found himself in the right place to bundle home the equaliser deep into injury time.
