Leigh Centurions are appealing to fans to help raise enough money to re-sign full-back Greg McNally.
They've confirmed they're in discussion with the player after his release by Bradford but need 15 thousand pounds to finalise the deal because of the latest strict budget the club is subject to.
Ina statement a club spokes said
"In past years, when there was no benefactor, the Club has been able to turn to Leigh Independent Supporters' Association (LISA), the Club's independent fan group founded in 1999, to assist with bringing in a quality player.
LISA have been instrumental in bringing in players like Tommy Martyn, Neil Turley and Adam Bristow to name a few and have also sponsored many recent players, including Ben Reynolds amongst many others.
However, largely due to some years of players being signed irrespective due to the financial input of owner Derek Beaumont, we have perhaps contributed to the numbers lowering in the membership of LISA and its ability to commit to additional funds over and above what it has already pledged and budgeted.
Having approached LISA they are now having a membership drive to help the Club sign Gregg McNally."
