UPDATE: Second Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murdering Billy Livesley In Abram Released On Bail

A 22-year-old man was arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

21-year-old Billy Livesley, from Platt Bridge, suffered serious injuries as a result of an assault  on Bickershaw Lane on Friday 28 December and was taken to hospital in a critical condition. 

He sadly died the following evening and a Home Office Post Mortem confirmed that the cause of death was a significant head injury. A second man has been arrested after a fatal attack in Abram. 

Another man, 31 year old Peter Connor, has been charged with murder.
