Wigan Athletic midfielder Jordan Flores has been charged with driving without due care and attention, following a serious car crash which cut short his loan spell with Chesterfield.
The 22-year-old was involved in the road traffic incident on the 23rd October last year on Baslow Road in Chesterfield.
Both Flores and the driver of another vehicle required hospital treatment.
The Latics midfielder received treatment in the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield, before returing to Latics while the other driver was airlifted to Nottingham.
He will now appear at Chesterfield Justice Centre on Wednesday 4th April.
Flores' loan spell with the Spirerites was cancelled in January, he has since moved to AFC Fylde on a short term loan deal.
