M6 Southbound At A Standstill After Lorry Overturns

A lorry has overturned and shed a load of wooden pallets on the M6 Southbound between Orrell and Bryn.

There are around six miles of tailbacks following the overturning of a lorry between junction 26 (Orrell Interchange) to J25 (Bryn).

You're queuing back to junction 27 at Standish with around an hour's travel time expected.

Lanes one and two (of three) are closed to allow recovery work and clean the carriageway.

It is not known at this stage whether anyone has been injured in the collision.
