St Helens Charity Devastated After Burglary

The chairman of a St Helens charity has told us of his devastation after their shop was burgled.

The Honey Rose Foundation was broken into between Wednesday night and yesterday morning with the thieves stealing donated cash, the till and other items as well as causing five thousand pounds worth of damage.

Chair Bill Duffy can't understand why they've been targeted:

"To target a charity a shop is just unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable.

"What we create is special wishes and time away with families for people that have got cancer and to do that to our charity is totally unbelievable, even the police couldn't believe it."

Police are scouring CCTV images and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

The charity have set up a Go Fund Me page in a bid to pay for the damages, you can visit this here - https://www.gofundme.com/d58t28-help-needed-after-robbery
